The N.C. Women’s Hospital Pastoral Care program provides a full-time chaplain dedicated to meeting the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff. Daryl Owens, M. Div., brings special expertise in areas such as grief and loss. He works to address the deep spiritual concerns of people, assisting them to the discovery of deeper meaning of the face of life-threatening illness, guiding individuals to explore more meaningful relationships with others and encouraging people to utilize their own spiritual resources in the healing process. Regular chaplain hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 24-hour chaplain coverage.
